Under the banner of the BLUEBELL RAILWAY BAND we regularly perform at Horsted Keynes
and Sheffield Park Railway Stations and at various events throughout the year including
the very popular Bluebell Railway’s Carol Service. We are very proud of our association
(since 2000) with the famous heritage line, which was the UK's first preserved standard
gauge passenger railway in the world to operate a public service. We were honoured
to play at East Grinstead Station when the Bluebell Railway extension opened in March
To mark our 40th Anniversary and the WWI centennial anniversary, in October 2014
the Band performed concerts in Belgium – and had the great privilege and honour to
play during The Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing, Ieper
(Ypres). We were accompanied by the Mayor of East Grinstead and representatives and
Standard Bearers of the East Grinstead Royal British Legion.
